Happy 2010

My Wish for You in 2010
May peace break into your home
And may thieves come to steal your debts. May the pockets of your jeans become a magnet for £50 notes. May love stick to your face like Vaseline
and may laughter assault your lips! May happiness slap you across the face
and may your tears be that of joy May the problems you had, forget your home address! In simple words ............ May 2010 be the best year
Of your life!!!

Its here...

It’s that time of the year again, where everyone is looking forward to parties, free booze, food and wine. It’s a time of festivities, it’s a time where people meet and greet, wine and dine.

For me, its one long well deserved (I think) break at the end of the year. It’s been an eventful year. I managed to write 5-6 exams and visited about 4 new countries this year.

Out of the many things we did this year, the highlights were the diamond ring that I bought and the couch which made its way to our home a few days ago. We got wardrobes fitted and double glazing done. We also had a few credit cards and loans cleared off.

On the holiday side, we went to Dubai, Nice, Monaco, Monte Carlo, Paris, Rome, Pisa and Florence this year. We also visited the Lake District (UK) and went to the Leeds Castle this year.

One of my very good friends was in London for majority of 2009 and did enjoy a lot when she was around. I had someone to talk to everyday and also someone to go to places/musicals/shopping with. We went to Paris together and had some interesting/ unforgettable experiences together.

Some up’s and some downs, Some things make us cry.. Some things make us laugh.. I thank God for everything.. And pray that he keeps all my loved ones happy in the coming year.

Happy 2010 to all of you…

2008 out.. 2009 in...

I always wonder, what I can blog about everyday... I am quite bad at remembering events, thougths that cross my mind on a daily basis. Not that I am not an active person, or I spend the whole day at home or something. I do a lot of things and go to a lot of places.. but still when it comes to writing it, I cannot think of anything! I need to improve on this and I am determined to do so.. Wish me good luck...

2oo9 has arrived already... and don't know where 2008 went...

I came to London in 2004. 2008 has been the best year for me so far. I have a feeling of accomplishment and contentment. There are lot of reasons for it. Oh well, who wants the reasons, we only care about end results.

I have been having a wonderful break.. a well deserved break should I say.. slept late, woke up late everyday.... had breakfast at 10.00 AM, late lunch, late dinner.. enjoyed at home.. did some essential pending household cleaning... all in all.. its been a long time.. that I have been at home(in London) for such a long time.. :) Loved every bit of it..
Tomorrow is my last day of holiday.. and then I am back to the grind.. or rather we are back to the grind... :( Oh well... I guess.. this is life.

That's it folks... for now...
Cheers.. !

Highlights of this year...
  • Registered for ACCA (Accredited Certified Chartered Accountants)
  • One of my dreams fulfilled.. went to Switzerland after 4 long years of being in London. Had a fantastic time in Swiss with MR, my cousin and his wife. We were in Swiss from 19th to 24th March during Easter holidays

  • Permanently straightened hair ( Yuko hair straightening) while in Bangalore

  • Self studied for ACCA exams in most of April & May and gave exams in June, It had been almost 6 years since I gave exams. It was scary, but went through it somehow, and actually got through some exams as well.
